Hi Hat FAQ

WHERE IS THE HI HAT LOCATED?
The Hi Hat is located at 5043 York Blvd. We are a white building, yes, the building used to be Highland Park Billiards.

I’VE NEVER BEEN TO THE HI HAT BEFORE, DO I GET A SEAT OR IS IT GENERAL ADMISSION?
Most shows and events at The Hi Hat are general admission unless otherwise noted. We are standing room only with some bar stool & bench seating.

HOW DO I STAY UP TO DATE ON SHOWS AT THE HI HAT?
Sign up for our weekly email newsletter and follow us on our social media (@TheHiHatLA).

WHAT ARE TONIGHT’S SET TIMES?
We post set times on our Facebook and Twitter accounts daily @ 12PM. Please do not call for set times.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?
You can purchase tickets online for all shows, box office is cash only. No need to print ticket, we can scan the PDF on your phone. Keep up to date with Facebook and Twitter as well as our weekly email newsletter for the latest announcements! Some shows will sell out in advance.

CAN I BUY TICKETS IN PERSON?
If the show has not sold out in advance, you may purchase tickets at door time, day of event. Box office is cash only.

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS AT THE BOX OFFICE?
The box office opens at the listed door time. Box office is cash only.

I’M ON THE GUEST LIST, HOW DO I GET IN?
Proceed to the box office as any other patron. Occasionally there will be a dictated line for Guest List and regular ticket holders. Be prepared to present a valid photo ID for admittance. Accepted forms of ID are current and non-expired: State Issued ID or Driver’s License, Military & Passport ID. No ID = no admission. No exceptions.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF THE HI HAT?
Be sure to check ticket links for door times.

IS THERE VENUE PARKING? IS IT FREE?
There is ample street parking in the area and most restrictions end at 8pm if not earlier. There are two adjacent parking lots that are free after 9PM but close at 12AM, please read all posted signage, The Hi Hat is not responsible for your vehicle.

IF I DON’T HAVE A PHOTO ID, CAN I STILL GET IN THE VENUE?
Be sure to check ticket links for age restrictions as not all events are 21+. If you are planning on drinking, you must be 21+ with Valid ID. Accepted forms of ID are current and non-expired: State Issued ID or Driver’s License, Military & Passport ID.

ARE THERE INS-AND OUTS?
Yes.

ARE THERE ATMs AVAILABLE?
Yes, there is a Bank of America ATM located across the street and a Citi bank ATM on the corner of Ave 51 & York Blvd. We do not have an ATM located in the venue. Box office is cash only, bar accepts cards.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEO?
Sure can, we encourage you to photograph and Instagram us (#thehihat)! Non-professional cameras are allowed in the venue as long as the performer/management has not specified otherwise to venue personnel. If you plan to shoot video, use a camera with a detachable lens or you are press, please contact us in advance: hihat@gmail.com.

I AM A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND WANT TO TAKE PHOTOS…
All professional cameras need to be approved in advance by the performer/venue. Please contact the artist you would like to photograph about getting a photo pass as it is the artist’s decision as to who they want photographing them. Same for press passes, please contact the artist’s label or publicist for this. Unfortunately, we cannot give you this contact information. IS THERE ANY GOOD FOOD AROUND THE HI HAT?
We have good food! Find our menu here.

LOST SOMETHING?
Please email hihatla@gmail.com or message us on Facebook to check if we’ve found it. Our friendly staff can help you access the lost and found any day of the week, just contact us for availability!

ARE YOU HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
Our on site amenities are 100% handicap accessible. If special assistance is required, please email hihatla@gmail.com prior to the show or speak to a member of the staff upon arrival at the venue.

HOW DO I BOOK A GIG AT THE HI HAT?
Please send a detailed email with artist information and particular dates (if any) to booking@hihat.la. Please be patient and allow time before following up. Our booking department gets many emails daily and will only respond to emails that are specific and detailed. Do not call for booking inquiries.

WHAT IS THE EARLIEST I CAN COME INTO THE VENUE? WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOW START?
Check your ticket or the website for door times, door times are also listed with the date on the event detail page. Set times are announced daily at 12PM via our Twitter but are subject to change. We like to make sure our shows run on time/as posted. There are the occasional nights that may fall behind, but more often than not, shows run as posted.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED AT THE BAR?
Cash and all major credit cards are accepted at the bar.

I LEFT MY CARD/ID AT THE BAR, WHAT DO I DO?
Your card/ID is still at the bar, we are open daily, you can pick up your card any time during business hours. If you know you left your belongings, do not call us, just show up.

I BOUGHT MY TICKET ON CRAIGSLIST/STUBHUB/A THIRD PARTY THAT IS NOT HIHAT.LA OR TICKETFLY.COM…
The Hi Hat is not responsible for any tickets suspected of being purchased for the sole purpose of reselling and can be cancelled at the discretion of The Hi Hat/Ticketfly.

ARE OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINK ALLOWED?
No, dummy.
